This brand awareness campaign for Texas Instruments addresses the growing issue of e-waste, drawing inspiration from its rapid global increase. Acknowledging its role within the consumer electronics ecosystem, Texas Instruments aims to demonstrate accountability and engage audiences in a meaningful way.
The campaign centers around a music festival concept titled Bandwidth, where “tech is your ticket.” Attendees gain entry by donating their used electronic devices, transforming participation into direct action against e-waste while fostering a sense of collective impact.
The visual identity for the campaign is rooted in nostalgia, taking cues from vintage technology advertising. Print ads and billboards feature recognizable Texas Instruments products, creating an immediate sense of familiarity and trust. The copy begins intentionally ambiguous—hinting at the environmental impact of e-waste—and gradually reveals more information as the campaign unfolds, building intrigue and engagement over time.
The name Bandwidth reflects the concept of information exchange and connectivity, aligning with both technology and community. The color palette draws from Texas Instruments’ signature red, paired with environmentally conscious greens to reinforce the campaign’s message. Typography is inspired by the TI-84 calculator interface, while a subtle dithering effect across imagery evokes both retro digital aesthetics and the energy of a live festival experience.
